When I first logged on to SL, I sought a community of like- minded people who enjoy exploring the metaphysical. I'm comfortable with a few symbolic languages (astrology, tarot, etc.). The Mystic Academy offers readings, classes and social activities, which I found appealing. I made the cave underneath the beautiful built my home.I met some amazing people -- yes people, not just dragons, fairies or playboy bunny types -- with great wisdom and knowledge. They taught me a great deal about SL in such a way, my vision of its potential has expanded beyond a single community.
Communities are like relationships. Some are healthier than others. I didn't breakup with the Mystic Academy, but the nature of relationship had changed. At the same time, many of my professional and personal relationships with the people I've met have gotten deeper and more satisfying.
